He was actually living in the office for a while because he was in the middle of a divorce, and he'd just been diagnosed with cancer as well. Given the amount of his own work and equipment he tossed along with his dad's slides, it really seemed like he was in a "fuck everything" frame of mind. Pretty sad desu. Hope he's doing well now.
