Am I expecting too much from vintage glass?
I'm shooting with a Sony A7 and an assortment of vintage Minolta lenses on a $20 adapter.
For a landscape shot, I wanted to try to get as sharp a photo as I possibly could. So I put the camera on a tripod, set ISO to 100, aperture to 11, focused carefully using the highest magnification in the viewfinder, and...this is the unedited result in all its full size glory.
And I'm simply not satisfied. It looks soft to me. Am I expecting too much from old glass? Am I doing something wrong?
