All cats are a little bad like that, but most cats are rather bad. So dont be one of those numbnuts who buys a cheap cat and comlains they all suck.

I use it with a ring flash primarily for evidenciary shizz when receiving aliexpress purchases, or recording plug layouts or electronic stuff i'm about to pull apart....actually its the lens that lives on my oldest body and "fits the slot" between a 17-50mm/2.8 on one canera i take to partties etc with the 70-200mm/2.8 on another that i also use every weekend.
Definitely a keeper. Almost certainly what I'll use when i start digitizing negatives (also own the 50mm/2.8 macro...a similarly nice lens)
