well sort of
I had 2 screw mound bodies, and a M3 when I got the M4-p. I shot 2 rolls through it and had a case of buyers remorse. My friend had a nice summicron but no body so I sold him the M4-p.
traded the IIc for a field camera
sold the IIIf
still shoot the M3

21 is very wide and maybe not for everyone, I quite like it though. I don't find to much trouble with putting a finder on my M3, I don't see why a CLE would be much different.

28 never feels wide enough to me
I just picked up a 15mm voigtlander and I am wondering if it's too wide.

try it out, see how you feel about it. If you are buying and selling used, you seldom lose money on Leica gear (including Zeiss Voigtlander, and Minolta).

people shoot Leica because it shoots better than SLRs. I've had the M3 for 3 years now and love it, barely shoot the F3 anymore and it feels so clunky now compared to the M3. I picked up the IIIf 2 years ago when I sent the M3 to Wetzlar for a CLA, took just over 6 months but it came back so silky. The IIIf is nice to shoot and has it's own charm, I intended to sell it when I got the M3 back but still haven't.

the only thing I keep the 3F for is inferred, the M3 has a black glass pressure plate which is bad fir IR film.

I shoot and love my IIIf (pictured)
I also have a IIc sharkskin which is worth more because of the vulcanite texture despite having a dried out shutter that leaks light
