Everyone's first major camera purchase is usually a mistake because you don't know enough, not only about cameras, but about what it is you like to shoot and your style of shooting, you just have to figure all of that out as you go, so it's almost always bad for everyone. Besides if you've been happy with it up until now, there is literally no reason to stop liking it.
My first purchase was an XT-3, and while Fuji turned out to be an okay choice, I bought it 2 months before the XT-4 Released and I paid full price for it. I missed out on a free IBIS upgrade. I also bought 3 lenses that I never used for it.
My first purchase wasn't a disaster, but I definitely wasted $1000 on lenses I didn't need and I could have waited literally a month and got the X-T4 for the same price. But now you know more, if you're actually not happy with the photos you get or the shooting experience, move on to another system. I've never known anyone who does photography who hasn't changed systems at least once, often more than once.
