The reason why there are "interpretations" is that scanners either use presets that need updating as film generations change ( gb 200-7, 200-8), which is now impossible due to how old all that shit is, or basically do autolevels, which is not and cannot be perfect, thatbis whybyou have to adjust the levels manually
