Back home now so can address this autism.
>>3594530>you should only be using oneThis isn't a stereo setup for music sessions, it's a home theater. You set those up for multiple listening positions in the seating area and then take an average. This is basic stuff, man. Like I said, you're out of your element because you're used to basic old tech.
>didn't bypass the crossoverPhysically disconnected, moop... the mains are separated into 2 chambers so doing this doesn't negatively affect anything related to engineering. Mids and highs are still together, lows are completely isolated. You simply get to treat each speaker as 2. Each speaker has 2 receivers and 2 amps. As a result, each has 2 sets of currents, 2 sets of volume controls, equalizers, delays and... wait for it... 2 signals. Yes, that's right. You could play 2 different songs at the same time if you wanted to. Of course that's retarded but you should see where I'm going. Take a minute if you have to.
Are you following, moop? Do you understand the flexibility here and just how much you can fine tune this? You can send more or less treble or bass to anywhere you want. You can use any mix of DTS modes you want; VS Wide for the mids and highs, and VS Ref for the lows, which sounds amazing for reasons you should grasp. You can also just run all the lows as stereo which is perfect for replacing a sub. You retain the surround effect but can have the lows all working together simultaneously.
You just don't get it, moop. You know how to wire a very basic old crossover and slap some cones into enclosures, not build chips and program sound processing. That said, I'm on the link you posted shopping for parts right now to do the same, kek. Gonna build some speakers for shits and giggles. Does that annoy you? First up are desktop speakers for my PC. After that, I'll have fun experimenting with towers. I run CNCs too... maybe some machined baskets are in order? ;)
