Still learning how to use my Olympus MFT camera and today I found something cool that my old camera absolutely could not do.
Shooting on burst mode 'Sequential High' my flash was able to do it's pre-flash and then continue shooting the same flash value for the subsequent burst shots.
Instead of having to take a new reading for each image it was just letting me machine gun them in the same setup. I was absolutely amazed as my flash shot out 10+ flashes in a row when normally I get a few shots and have to be careful about recharge time.
Feels like it changes everything. Now instead of necessarily having to line up the focus perfectly still I can pre-emptively hold my shutter down and have a bit more motion with my body as I snap a burst. There's going to be a lot less moments where I just absolutely fail and fail to get a sharp image at all, in smaller windows of opportunity.
Anyone tried this? I googled it and didn't find anything and I've never seen it discussed in a video so up front.
