All film simulation does is adds a bit of contrast and makes pictures less flat. I'd even say using in camera presets is opposite of a crutch because you can't count on post as much just like with real film. Spending more time in Lightroom than out shooting isn't something to be proud of in my opinion. Shooting SOOC is pure chad photography.
