Not being an edgyfag or a nostalgiafag. This camera is the perfect marriage of design, fashion, and technology of its day. I scrolled through this thread and it's full of gorgeous cameras, and for the most part (except for the Heine-can-cam) they all use different takes on the same design and aesthetic. Fine, but boring desu. But this camera is uniquely 1987. It can't and wouldn't exist in any other time, and exudes just enough serious engineering and cutting edge technology mashed with a certain friendliness and excitement, so as to feel accessible, obtainable, and desirable. Flawless form and product design. Maybe it's ugly now, and maybe it would have been ugly in 1940 as well, but this was formidable the day it hit shelves. And be honest, even though Polaroid had been banging away for 50 years before this, the classic 70s and 80s Polaroid changed the whole way photography and snapshits entered our lives.
