Right now I have the Ricoh GRII and the Lumix GX9. I threw the X100F into the comparison because I had that one for a little while before I sold it.
Above all, this tells me that it's always important to note where you're coming from. When I got the GRII I was blown away by the dynamic range on RAW files. When I got the GX9 I was pleasantly surprised to note that it's definitely not worse, despite the smaller sensor. For the months I had the X100F, it was meh, despite the chart telling me now that it was supposedly quite a bit better. But with the X100F lifting the shadows would introduce a shit ton of noise which isn't half as bad on the GX9.
Bottom line is, I won't start researching these numbers before buying a camera. They don't tell you half the story.
