The argument is a desperate grasp at straws, an attempt to prove IS pointless. It doesn't work. Tripods sell because there are not magical supports floating about everywhere. And not everyone wants to carry a tripod around, or worse, build one out of sticks somehow. Pic related. Shot hand held.
