>>3844437I don't generally use macro lenses, but when I do, I like either longer focal length ones because of the greater working distance or wide angle ones (love a 28mm macro) because you can get close AND show context (picrel). That said, vintage 50mm lenses are cheap, plentiful and decent.
So if you want context, get a wide angle macro; if you want cheap, get a vintage 50mm macro; if you have the money and appreciate the better working distance, get a 90mm.
