Meter calibration, there is a diagram that shows you how to do this in the service manual, everything pictured here is lined up with something else and once all of that shit is aligned, it's calibrated.
It still reads a stop off but I think that's just how these old Gossens work these days, they also read reflective light as well. Indoors it's right on the money though, as well as overcast light.
