I have a few questions, and also I'm going to admit a retarded mistake I made out of impatience.

I've never had luck with tray development for 4x5. Every time I develop outside of a tank, I get very soft imprints over the image from other negatives, or I get uneven development. When I've tray-developed, I follow Ansel Adam's exact instructions in "The Negative".
Can I recover these negatives in photoshop, if the lines and shapes imposed are vague in definition?
My mistake: Out of impatience, I started taking shitty, lazy preview scans before I had the film holders. This meant contact between the film and the light pad. Though it's a smooth acrylic surface, this was a retarded idea and I probably scratched a few negs. The weight of a neg is definitely enough to scratch the fuck out of itself against acrylic or glass. Watch out folks, don't be as fucking goddamn retarded as I am.
