It is my philosophy that any decent photographer can take a great picture of anyone regardless of how they look, I feel if you NEED a great looking person just to produce a good image then you're pretty amateur. Lately though I realized once your body of work stays consistent enough, you can ask anyone to model for you and they'll generally say yes. I hope that answers your question!
