Hi everyone, I've recently decided to buy my first big boy camera. I've settled on Sony because a lot of people I know use their products and they seem solid plus a friend who does photography has an a5000. I'm torn between the a5100 and the a6000, since the former seems to be a solid pick for a beginner and is cheaper, but doesn't seem to have expandability technologywise (no function buttons, mic input, iron clip on top). The a6000 is much more advanced but noticeably more complicated to use and expensive.
I'd really like to learn how to utilize the camera to its full potential , but I'm not sure if should go for more complexity.
I've also recently bought a motorcycle for traveling around and I want the camera specifically to take pictures of scenery i would see while on the road. But also use for family gatherings and events.
What do you guys think would be the best choice in this matter? Should I pull the trigger on the a5100 or save up a bit more for the a6000?
