The original look leans too heavy on the coolish side of the crossprocessing style for my tastes but the set is consistent. The pictures of rocks were the weakest. The depth of field wasn't sufficient to really capture them and make them stand out. Maybe go for the closeup and show off the texture if you can't find a good background context? It looks like you're using a longer focal length. I think you had the right idea here when trying to compress them into one another to fill the frame and giving it depth
