I finally got one of those to protect the shoe mount I never use. I intended to buy one but the guy from the store just picked one from a used mirrorless and gave it to me, free of charge, I didn't even buy anything at all.
It's kind of nice to have an actual brick & mortar camera store not too far. Sometimes I get to see nice gear they have laying around, like a Canon 600mm f/4 IS they had ordered last year, it was on display waiting for the client. Just seeing that with your own eyes is pretty cool. They sometimes have some gear taken apart on display too.
