>>3413315>>3413317Coming from a Nikon D750 I think the Z6 is a really good camera after using it for the past 4 days.
Good:
>IBIS works really well with adapted lenses>Shooting live view is a million times better than DSLR, a godsend for landscapes>Face detect AF works well>Ergonomics are superb- great grip, controls and menus familiar to Nikon users, touch screen is amazing- smartphone quality>The camera feels really great in the hand, high quality buttons and dials, feels rugged and it's made in Japan>EVF and screen are really high res and clear>Video autofocus is good>The OOC JPEG colour is better than the D750 to my eyeBad:
>No AF with AF-D glass>viewfinder framerate plummets when magnifying to focus>XQD cards are really expensive and I just don't need the speed>SinGLe CArD sLOt>AF tracking through the evf is a bit fiddly as you have to press the OK button, however it works super well off the touchscreen (just tap the subject); once it's been set, the tracking is quite good (I don't really shoot things that require tracking though so I don't mind it)>Battery life not as good as DSLR obviously, made worse by using the old EN-EL15 batteries but this could just be because they're old batteries. Have had a play with some of my friend's new cameras:
>Compared to the X-T3 the Nikon's IBIS really comes in handy, and after using the Z6, the Fuji low res screen and poor touch implementation feel primitive. I do like the shooting experience though and I see myself buying an X100 in future>Compared to the A7III (handled it briefly), I far prefer the nikon shooting experience (menus, ergonomics, controls). I didn't see a major difference in AF performance but didnt get a chance to try eye AFImage quality between the 3 will be pretty much the same.
Those are my $0.02 but ask me any questions you'
