On the X axis you have level of photographer experience, on Y you have snobbiness. You get beginner photographers are typically more timid and/or accepting due to either lack of skill or experience or just not caring, you get what I've heard many people refer to on here as the "Prosumers" people who are walking around with mostly pro-tier gear who often, not always, are the most abrasive because they believe they know everything and thus anyone "below" them is inferior. Then you get the pros and the people who are truly just really good but still hobbyists, like people who are like genetically enhanced with photography skills at that point, they typically have a mastery of the skills and equipment but at the same time understand that equipment is not everything and that every picture does not have to be absolutely perfect in order to be interesting and worth experiencing and from what I see tend to be more personable and easier to get along with. Not sure, maybe I'm crazy but I can't be the only one who notices this...
