>>2946148Thanks Vincent, man it's a good day when you show back up to /p/. We got some good classic /p/eeps on the board right now. I appreciate the comments, good to see you with a Canada thread again!
>>2946670I definitely know what you mean and there's a lot of factors going into those changes. I certainly have focused on sellable landscapes for a while which is possibly a good idea while I secure an income for my first year being completely self employed. I don't think there's anything wrong with that. I think I've already managed to secure a reasonable income so I may be able to branch out and experiment more in the future. There was also a huge collapse in the oil industry around here and developments are slow, and for some reason all new developments seem to have a lot more security and ways to keep people like me out. I've spent my ambitions chasing print buying customers instead of gaining access to sites.
If anyone is in the Dayton, Ohio area I just stopped by an Edward Burtynksy exhibit and can highly recommend it. I've always wanted to see his prints in person and they are wonderful. The shipbreaking photos are just so powerful. Today was opening day and it's open until January at the Dayton Art Institute.
Bonus, they also used my photos to explain to children what film is. See pic related for their (not entirely accurate) description of film for children. Still kinda fun.
