Here's one from my first set back. I had Sappho in mind.
>>4185865Hedonism is associated with Bacchus and excess of sex, drink and drugs and is defined as such along with living solely for pleasure. There's no sex, drink or drugs in any of my photography, not particularly a lot of pleasure either. In fact there's often stuff associated with living healthily like nature, fruit or stuff that's traditionally seen as being reserved or boring but good for you like books and statues. The photos still feel hedonistic on the first glance though, until you start actually looking at it. Raises the question of what hedonism is without all that stuff. Makes sense in my head. I don't think my photography is very similar to Hollywood at all, or any mainstream media outlet for that matter. Not sure about the moral code thing but I am interested in liberty vs authority. Maybe morality comes into it a bit. Don't think my work's particularly religious coded either although I am of faith, mixed and not Catholic. If there's any conversion to be done by them it's to pursue liberty over authority, reclaim public space for public use and understand the attractive parts of hedonism aren't about drink/drugs/sex or in opposition with living healthily and well.
>>4185796Yea it is good to be fair, doesn't give that overwhelming Kantian sublime feeling of an Ansel Adams but is quite nice to look at.
My favourite parts are the colour palette and that it's proof that anon is too scared to post their own actual work.
