hi my brothers
Is a Canon 40D + Canon 17-85 F/4-5.6 USM IS a good deal for 200 quid? I'm about to buy it but I'm not too sure that's an okay price. I'm not looking to get a super mega good deal I just want to not pay too much.
I've been shooting mirrorless (Nikon 1 specifically) for a while and film for another while, and I just like the way it feels shooting with a full body SLR instead of my tiny non-viewfinder Nikon 1, so I wanted to go full body DSLR for my digital shots as well.
Obviously I would like to go FF since I have some FF lenses for my film Canons (normally use EOS 100/Elan or EOS 600) but that's a bit too much money now so I will get the 40D which is fairly decent, is built well and it will just serve my snapshot-taking purpose. I do my proper photography with my film cameras.
I was thinking of getting either that deal with the 17-85 IS for £200 or maybe getting the body only and stick to my FF lenses even though they will all feel telephoto or maybe buy another APS-C wider angle lens for landscapes... Maybe that 40mm pancake lens that was released not too long ago? (pic relates)
What would you guys do? Maximum budget is £200-250ish, the lesser the better because I'm trying to save money to start a small business (nothing photo sadly) in a couple months.
Thanks all.
