>>3276568Well of course i'm still a photographic newfag who is trying really hard to do what the "big guys" do. I'm still far away from taking a shot and being happy with it how it is. I guess the fact that i have some knowledge about photoshop, made it harder for me not to over edit many things. Like i really wanna have everything perfect and in shape.
A sentence like "i'll fix that in post" should be a no go in my opinion, but at the end of the day it's not possible in our modern days without it. Creating a look that is Visual appearing instead of having a creative value got lost in the stream of over edited instagram posts.
>>3276576I know what you mean by hating the digital look. I wish i would have started with film, but never had the chance to get my handy onto it. I'll probably look into it after finishing university and hopefully having a place big enough for a small dark room. I hear self developing that stuff is really satisfying
Some pics are boring, didn't expected anything else actually, since i still have to get familiar with the d7100. (The one with the bridge as an example has no real foreground, i just wanted to quickly capture the moving train).
Well the "fake bw" was needet in many cases, because as i mentioned, the low light capabilities of the nikon d80 are horrible. I exceeded the capabilities with 1600 ISO already and the colors were really horrible (i really shouldn't show you the pics i've taken while drunk driving home with my bike and my d80 at 4am) (too late now)
Damn now i want to try out film. The best thing i could image would getting one of those Peel-Apart instant film cameras. Never looked intl getting one, but they look and sound sexy as fuck
