I imagine a liminal moment is one that pulls you out of your usual functioning self for reasons unknown to you. It could be because of the place you’re present in, or it could be related to the context of the place you’re present in. The best examples I’ve seen are those that have an unspoken significance that cannot be communicated. It’s also worth noting that the etymology of the word has its roots in religion. Something to think about.
