How important is cold storage really? I have a lot of film but putting it in the fridge gives me OCD. I feel like it’s never at the ready at moment’s notice. I’ll still keep some in the fridge, but since I’m not some professional shooting boring paid portraits on Portra, what kind of negative effects in reality are we talking about if I have some film lying around in room temp for a year till I get around to shooting it. 5% saturation loss / color shift? 15%?
