Does anyone have any background on being a camera assistant? I have more of a lighting background (pic attached is one of our setup in my last project) and I got recruited to be a 2nd AC on a ~10k project (with school gear) shot on the Sony Venice, I have been a focus puller/1st AC on smaller projects with the A7sII but I didn't have to do any sort of lens calibration or anything. We'll be shooting with some Angenieux zoom lenses and some Cooke or Zeiss Prime (I don't have the gear list yet) I can handle the HF SDI monitor feed but I'm a bit lost for the rest of my missions, any specifics I should be aware of?
I don't want to shit the bed as the team might make it one or two year down the line.
