It's a fantastic camera and I've had a good experience with the AF. I suspect others are using the old firmware. I use the FTZ adapter and FX lenses. The only reason to avoid it is if you're taking action shots or doing wildlife photography. It doesn't have the fps for those imo. I mainly stick to portraits though, so it's fine.
