I was able to snag a mark iii with only 500 on the shutter, so basically new. It's my second camera and the first I bought myself. My first was an eos 400d which feels pretty similar to the mark iii, just very slightly worse in most aspects and alot worse in build quality and storage. The mark iii feels great to take photos with; it feels great in the hands. It's kinda like how wearing a suit makes you feel a bit better about yourself than usual. Its a great camera to shoot on and very resonably priced. The mark ii would be the same except even cheaper and with no video (which isn't that bad cause the video on the mark iii is a bit poo). That said if money wasn't an issue I'd get a newer mirrorless, simply because they're smaller so I wouldn't need to carry a camera bag.
