mf offers significantly more separation between subject and background or focus/out of focus areas
it's just simply another level but it depends what you need it for
if you're shooting landscapes then unless you're blowing it up i don't see the point in medium format
for shooting people though mf can be pretty based
pic rel is a mf shot of a person
I'll post a 35mm one too, both are in focus but the mf shot looks cleaner and has more "depth" to it
