I have an E-M5III and it is the fastest and most feature packed camera of this size I've ever owned. My X-E3 and X100V were slower and the ergonomics were worse. Image quality wasn't really much different, if anything I prefer the way the olympus 20mm f1.4 looks over the X100V's 23 f2. That might just be focal length preference though.
Either way, all this chatter about "optical and technical performance" when the truth of the matter is, at 20mp my Olympus lenses were just as sharp as my fuji stuff was, and not worlds different from Nikon Z stuff. I'm sure that changes if you had the higher resolution Z7, though. And none of my Olly or Fuji lenses have the contrast and resolution of the 50 f1.8 S... but then again few lenses do so I'm not sure that's a system issue?
