Bayer is interpolation, and interpolation works best with predictable simple patterns and shapes, and works worst with unpredictable random detail. There's no controversy or questioning about that.

The only reason a Bayer might seem sharp to you at 100% is because it's all you've seen and are familiar with, so you got used to the fuzziness.
