BMD is the harbor freight of the camera world. If you don't get that reference go ask your dad.
I've seen the magenta issues and DOA units myself. It's the Fisher Price "my first camera" of the video world. The best thing about the camera is the sensor, which I'll admit is tasty. But past that you get what you pay for.
Hell I work at a dealer and have seen so many of these guys come back my head spins.
If you're in the market just save up a little extra and wait for the flood of lightly used FS7s to go on clearance when the m2 releases in Jan. They may even drop the price increase when the m2 drops.
