I am new here, I hope this is the right thread.
My friend is asking me what camera should he buy. He's 60 years old and likes to take pictures of motorcycles and cars and such. He wants something that is very simple to use and has good autofocus and makes pictures fast. He hates it if he has to wait or if he later discovers pictures are not in focus (he doesn't check them after taking them). I am looking at pont-and-shoot cameras, but there is still too many to choose from.
- simple to use - boomer friendly
- takes pictures fast and in focus
- compact
- some optical zoom
In store they are trying to sell him canon G1 X Mark III or sony RX100 VA. He's asking me to help him as obviously I am supposed to know this thing, because I am young. Any help appreciated.
Pic related. taken with phone. It's not sharp enough.
