I have to admit that I'm impressed by the 7A 50/1.1. Recently shot some portraits at f/1.4 and they look nice. Foreground bokeh is nervous with a slight swirl, but background looks nice. Guess I have to revise my opinion on Sonnars. Here's a more boring shot at f/2, or 2.8 - don't remember.
>>3643828Consider the meter to be a spot meter. In this scene there is mixed lighting in the center (90mm lines). Doesn't really look that underexposed to me, though. A friend's M6 has issues with 1/1000s, but other speeds work well.
>>3643831I like playing around with the camera in the living room and focus on different spots of which I know the distance. Following our cats with the focus is also a good practice. Anyway, zone focus becomes more important with 35mm, or wider, hitting f/4 or stopped down even more. I bought my Leica with the same intent and don't see myself selling it. It's slightly older than I am.
