>>2993562>>2993562Basically, old film becomes less sensitive to light. So overexposing recalibrated your exposures for the less sensitive film. To put it extremely simply, that 20 year old Kodak Gold 400 probably has the sensitivity of 100 iso now. Since c41 films tend to get quite grainy when underexposed this results in it looking grainy, as you underexposed the toll by shooting it at 400.
Don't worry about leaving film in a camera. That shit is fine. It's really once we are talking in term of years in unknown temperatures that expired film becomes sketchy.
