Did a 3 week roadtrip from Vancouver, BC down to Nothern California and back. Did some amazing hikes in North Cascades National Park (pic related). Highly recommend going there! Also hit up the Oregon coast but it was insanely busy and filled with families in RVs so we bailed pretty quickly and found solace in Lassen National Park in California (also highly recommend) and Gifford Pinchot Natoinal Forest in southern Washington (all you can eat huckleberries found along almost every trail).
Other than Elk we didn't see many notable land animals. We did see sea lions, seals, and whales along the Oregon coast though so that was pretty rad!
