>>4162881The wood was just for testing, I changed it to 3/4" PVC. Making another one that fits over standard eyepieces too, with a piece of ABS. I'm going to router it to fit the phone next so I don't have to strap it on.
Yeah, just expose manually and record then select some good frames. I didn't even guide even though this scope could. I just tracked the video.
>imaging the sunNah it's much easier, just dangerous if you do it the traditional way without the filter at the objective end. Even using the pinhole method freaks me out. Plus you don't get the level of detail you do with an actual solar telescope with multiple HA filters.
