>>3941986made the mistake getting a v600, its just been endless issues trying to get good quality scans and endless disappointments of being excited when i see the negatives came out of developing with great detail and no fuckups only to see the scanner turn all the finer details into mud. I've seriously gotten better scans using a $10 led light table and my fucking iphone. it's passable with black and white but it's practically unusable with most color film even when you turn off all the auto settings and try adjusting colors manually. wish i had just put the money towards a good macro lens to scan with my dslr. a noteable exception is that it seems to be alright with kodak portra 400, anything else i throw at it is a complete wash, and i'd like to not be locked into one film stock.
here's an over-exposed throwaway from my most recent portra roll.
