I think this creates problems when you're not shooting in daylight conditions. you'll end up changing the look by doing these, but it might be worth trying to keep the same white balance shift (red, blue, etc.) but either changing the fixed color temperature to auto white balance or switching to a new fixed color temperature closer to your shooting conditions (e.g. if it's indoors, lower the color temp by a few thousand K).
