>>4480662I did some more research. Ozu movies were filmed with the Mitchell BNC that uses 35mm motion film. The image area is 22mm × 16mm which, compared to digital full frame, is smaller. Digital full frame is times 1.6 bigger.
So if Ozu used a 50mm lens on his Mitchell.. it means to recreate the same image I need an (50mm*1.6) 80mm lens on my FF Nikon Z right? Kinda makes sens looking at pic related. Looks closer to what I get from 85mm lens than 50mm. But must be a quite high f-stop to reduce all the blur.
