Just got a snoy mirrorless after shooting nikon dslr for many years. I got it mostly for video. Of course I used it for some foto as well, but I only have a couple of cheap lenses, and I realised how much of a crutch the fast aperture is. It's crazy to think that photographers could ever get anything even remotely sharp with such little light gathering ability. I broke out the tripod for something other than nightscapes for the first time in years. Even just taking a picture in my house, at 50 iso, it took almost a whole second to get a good exposure. It's crazy to think people did wildlife photography with f/4 lenses and 50 iso film. Whole new appreciation. Tbf, I started out with worse gear than this, but I didn't know enough back then to realise the shots I wanted were impossible, so I'd just do them badly and not notice.
Anyway, snoy has a lot of cool extra features, and the ergonomics were not as bad as expected. But it is quite a bit different for my big hands.
Here's a cropshop of a friends new puppy taken with the cheapo kit lens. Because I have nothing of value to contribute.
