I'm reposting as I didn't get any answers from the last gear thread and it was dying by the time I posted there as well.
Canon 5d mk3 or nikon d7200?
I was thinking of going for the nikon for the longest time but now someone wants to sell me his 5d for a good price (about 1000 euro). What do I do? Do I gain a lot with the full frame sensor? Because that, and the more focus points is the advantage of the 5d. The Nikon seems more advanced in pretty much anything else.
I've played around with a d7100 and now with the 5d and the canon definitely has an advantage at higher ISO, which I like. It also feels good in the hand.
But my handling of the nikon was such I long time ago I don't remember what I liked about it.
Grandted, the Nikon I used was paired with a kit lens, while the canon I tested was with the 70-200 f/4 canon lens and the 17-40 f/4 also canon lens.
tldr: Nikon d7200 new + kit lens or similar OR used Canon 5d mk3 (body only), if you consider they are the same price.
