I do admit having to baby the Ricoh is frustrating, everything is taped to prevent dust, the video is not great, it's got a lens cap, there's no zoom, there's a bit of a learn curve compared to my RX100 and my G7 Canon...it tends to underexpose and the LCD screen is hard to judge things on. The ring falls off constantly, it's now in place with black tape, like the build quality is frustrating but I feel images like this make it all worth while.
