I'm not necessarily thinking about the minutiae of ISO, Focus, and light levels. But I have developed a shot list of the types of areas and equipment for which we need to take photos.
I've developed a rationale about photo editing and what size of photo needs to end up in our knowledge base software in order document each site properly. I've started on teaching material to give others my 'techniques' for getting better photos of equipment and sites.
In my hobby time I'm trying to learn the basics of manual photography simply to please myself and have better pictures of events in my life.
