Youll also have to work on your composition, just because your pic has stars in it doesnt mean it can stand on its own. The foreground has to compliment and flow with the sky, so try not to cut out any trees or interesting subjects to the side. Another big tip is to shoot near streetlights, as they will flood the scene and light your foreground for you, you can do this with car headlights as well.
