Can you guys help me out?
I rarely ever shot portraits, usually only shoot street and landscape. In my case that means I have no actual lighting equipment.
In 2 weeks I'm shooting portraits for some people I know. I ordered a softbox and I have a reflector.
I want to go with a rembrandt sort of lighting, maybe add a rim light aswell, just don't have anything for that yet.
My question is: Are there disadvantages of shoting a portrait with continuous light that I don't think of now? Again, I don't have any lighting equipment yet, no flash or whatever and havent rly worked with any either.
Can I get great results with just a softbox and a reflector? Can you recommend me something to use as a cheap rim light? Do I need it in a non-studio scenario (shooting in an office or soemthing)? Any advice is appreciated
ps. I work in gd so I'm fit in Photoshop and Lightroom, I can usually save mediocre pictures by others I get in post
