As to the difference between smaller formats though, when I shoot MF film, I feel like the most noticeable change is the way depth is rendered.
Even at small apertures, the plane of focus will be crisply delineated from the rest of the shot, with just a subtle change in texture.
Pic related was taken at f/11, for example. Focused on the fence, which is at least metres away.
