I'd have to buy EF lenses too - and they're not exactly going down in price since they're still basically current. I get a lot of use out of fast lenses - and fast EF's are not cheap.
The single most expensive piece of photography equipment I've paid for is 60 quid for an F-1 body with a broken lightmeter, to use as a parts donor.
I'm taking pride in that level of tightarseness.
